Yet another disaster of a Trump Coronavirus Task Force press briefing is now in the books, and at this point, we honestly just expect these things to go badly.
As a result of the nationwide shutdown that’s shuttered businesses and kept Americans cooped up in their homes for weeks on end, Trump’s regularly scheduled MAGA rallies have become a thing of the past.
What was once an arena full of rednecks, rich white dudes, and your average, everyday, run of the mill idiots — all with the collective IQ of a waist size and about as many teeth between the crowd to boot — is now a press briefing room with a handful of socially distanced reporters who just don’t do it for his ego like the MAGA crowd does.
Nevertheless, Donald has done his best to turn these daily pressers into the best makeshift MAGA rally he can come up with — because God knows he’s got to soothe that self-importance of his in some way or another lest he explodes into a pile of goo and Adderall — complete with mind-boggling propaganda videos and news clippings singing his praises.

But even his best efforts just aren’t turning out as he’d like, it seems, and it’s doing absolutely nothing to stanch his whiny complaints.
After being questioned by Yamiche Alcindor, White House correspondent for PBS News, about taking the whole coronavirus ordeal seriously from the start, Trump pretty much instantly melted into a complaint about how he hasn’t “left the White House in months except for a brief moment to give a wonderful ship the Comfort —”
But Alcindor quickly cut him off at the knees and reminded him, “You held a rally in March.”
And then the unthinkable happened.
Donald J. Trump apologized.
“I didn’t know— did I hold a rally? I’m sorry. I held a rally,” Trump replied.

ALCINDOR: You held rallies in February and March
TRUMP: I haven’t left the White House in months
ALCINDOR: You held a rally in March

Yes, folks, I am just as shocked as you. I never thought I’d see the day. Mark your calendars. Call your friends. Because an actual reporter actually got Donald Trump to issue an actual apology. That really happened.
