Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) really thought he got President Joe Biden on something substantial. The problem here is that Grassley is either confused, or Republicans are now pro-fentanyl. According to his website, he’s not into illegal drugs and wants President Biden to do something about deadly fentanyl knockoffs. The 88-year-0ld Iowa Republican took to his Twitter account to complain about a drug seizure, calling it “Biden’s America.”
And Grassley confused the Twitterverse with his tweet blaming Biden after Customs and Border Patrol agents seized 10,000 pounds of fentanyl this fiscal year, which, Grassley said, “is enough to kill over 2 billion people or more than 1/4 of the world’s population.” So, it’s not a bad thing in Biden’s America. It’s an excellent thing, but not if you’re a Republican.
I don’t think this is quite the slam Grassley figured it would be.
Welcome 2 Pres Biden’s America where 10,000 pounds of fentanyl hv been seized by Customs & Border patrol so far this fiscal yr which is enough to kill over 2 billion ppl or more than 1/4 of the world’s population

Twitter users piled in.
Wait, you’re *upset* that it was seized at the border?
You … wanted it to make it through? https://t.co/PTnWyLLbil

Republicans apparently don’t want fentanyl to be seized at the border.

Senator, how much more proof do you need to consider retiring? Seizing 10,000 pounds of fentanyl is a good thing. They are doing a fantastic job.
Would you rather prefer it wasn’t seized?

You’re complaining it was seized? Shouldn’t you be having some custard in the sun room?

Isn’t seizing contraband at the border… sort of the point of having a border?

You should try looking up “seized” in the dictionary.

Ok if it was seized and you know about it, doesn’t it mean it didn’t get in? So what you mad about now?
Critical thinking is not your strong suit I see pic.twitter.com/oh7Hb6Et4N— AmbitiousBlackWomen💛🗳 🇨🇮🇺🇸🇫🇷 (@APDeniseW) November 1, 2021
You would have preferred that the 10,000 lbs of fentanyl not be seized, Chuck? Are you opposed to the Biden admin’s enforcement of federal drug laws? What exactly are you trying to say?

Grassley needs to take a nap.
