Federal Prosecutors Were Highly Suspicious Of Convenient Mar-A-Lago Pool Flood Amid Classified Document Investigation: CNN

That was certainly convenient.

For the second time in history now, scandal-plagued former President Donald J. Trump has been formally indicted on a variety of criminal charges.

Just mere weeks ago, American history was made with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg formally indicted Donald Trump on multiple criminal charges related to the infamous Stormy Daniels hush money scheme — the very first time in United States history that a sitting or former US president has been officially indicted for a crime.

In the days and weeks since, Trump’s legal woes have only gotten worse, as numerous other probes, lawsuits, and investigations raged against him, including those conducted by Garland-appointed DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Smith, on behalf of the Biden DOJ, has been investigating the former president for his role in inciting the January 6th Capitol insurrection, his attempt to overthrow the 2020 presidential election after his loss to Joe Biden, and the infamous stolen Mar-a-Lago document scandal, in which Donald Trump stole classified government documents at the end of his presidency, relocated the material to his Palm Beach compound, where he hid them, lied about his possession of the materials, and repeatedly refused to comply with government requests and subpoenas for their return.

While Smith’s former investigations are still ongoing, multiple reports have confirmed that, as of yesterday evening, ex-President Donald J. Trump has been formally indicted on 7 different charges in relation to the infamous document investigation.

As it stands, the specific charges against Trump have not been released. We only know that the indictment is in direct relation to stealing the documents and obstructing the subsequent investigation. However, over the course of this week, details have begun to go public, pointing to the various things that eventually led to this historical federal indictment.

This week, CNN released reporting confirming that prosecutors with Special Counsel Smith’s office were highly suspicious of a conveniently timed flood of the Mar-a-Lago pool.

Back in October, an employee of Trump’s Palm Beach compound turned post-White House home drained the resort’s swimming pool, which somehow resulted in a massive flood inside a room that housed computer servers containing surveillance video logs.

There is ultimately no way of knowing if this flood was intentional or accidental in nature. However, there’s no denying the highly convenient timing of the catastrophe, as the server room/pool flood came right in the midst of a series of various other incidents that prosecutors found to be highly suspicious amid their classified document investigation into the ex-president.

According to a source that spoke with CNN, prosecutors with Smith’s office questioned at least one witness about the suspicious flooded server room during an investigation interview.

CNN reported, “The incident, which has not been previously reported, came roughly two months after the FBI retrieved hundreds of classified documents from the Florida residence and as prosecutors obtained surveillance footage to track how White House records were moved around the resort. Prosecutors have been examining any effort to obstruct the Justice Department’s investigation after Trump received a subpoena in May 2022 for classified documents.”

“Prosecutors have heard testimony that the IT equipment in the room was not damaged in the flood, according to one source.”

It seems Trump and his people just aren’t as slick as they thought they were.
