When Lara Trump posted a selfie from the White House state dinner with Ivanka and Tiffany, she probably expected compliments. She received those too, alongside a detailed public assessment of what cosmetic procedures each woman may or may not have had.

The selfie arrived during a week when gas was at a wartime high and grocery bills were climbing across all federal tracking categories. One commenter wrote: “The U.S. economy is teetering on a collapse again. But go off with your botox and filtered selfies.”

A third described the trio as “Overly Cosmeticized Trump Cult Leaders.” Lara has previously said there are “bigger fish to fry” than her appearance.

Others were equally pointed.
Must be nice. Living at the top and looking down on everyone that makes you filthy rich, working 2 jobs just to put groceries on the table. Walking to work cause gas is too expensive.

We are sikkk of you and your “rich without merit” family showing off your luxurious lifestyles while we struggle. When this is over, the Trump family will be shamed until the end of time!

The cosmetic conversation around the Trump women is not new and has its own vocabulary.
Washington DC-based plastic surgeon Troy Pittman told The Guardian in 2025 that MAGA power players had become notably open about cosmetic work. “There is this glamming up of Washington with this new administration, so it’s become more prevalent,” he said. “They’re OK with looking enhanced.”
The aesthetic has acquired its own name, the Mar-a-Lago face, characterized by overfilled lips, smooth skin, sharp jawlines, lifted eyes and generous Botox. Some surgeons have reportedly declined to perform the look at its more extreme iterations to avoid results that one described as crossing into Maleficent territory.
Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu told the Irish Star that Lara’s transformation suggests fillers, Botox, a nose job and eyelid surgery. “A closer examination of Lara’s recent photos is suggestive of blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery, in my opinion,” she said.
Celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Joel Kopelman told the Daily Mail she appeared “slightly overfilled” at the 2025 inauguration, which was already generating its own commentary at the time.
Ivanka’s changing facial structure has generated the most extensive expert analysis over the years.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie told US Express: “I think she’s had at least one rhinoplasty, if not two, and it looks like she did some sort of chin augmentation when she was younger.” Dr. Raffi Hovsepian added: “The softness along her jawline suggests either masseter relaxation or filler around the lower face.”
Estimates of her total cosmetic expenditure have reached as high as $400,000, though all such figures are speculative.
