Scared, Trump?

Just when disgraced, scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump thought his life couldn’t possibly get any worse, his favorite reporter that he loves to have, New York Times journalist and so-called “Trump Whisperer” Maggie Haberman, just hit the media cycle with yet another round of brutally damning news for the former guy based on bombshell new developments in the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation — all of which further indicate that an official Trump indictment will come crashing down on Donald’s head any day now.

Bombshell news that broke from the New York Times this week all but confirmed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is going to slap Donald Trump with an official indictment in the Stormy Daniels hush money investigation any day now.

The Times report confirmed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has officially sent a signal to scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump’s legal team, indicating that an official indictment against the ex-president is on the horizon and his attorneys should get prepared. The indictment would be in relation to the Manhattan DA’s office’s ongoing investigation into the infamous hush money payments made to adult film star and alleged former Trump affair partner Stormy Daniels, as well as another woman, during the final stages of Donald’s 2016 presidential campaign, in an effort to buy the womens’ silence regarding their alleged sexual history with the then-Republican candidate, so as not to harm his election chances.

On Thursday, Haberman made an appearance on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, where she seemed to throw cold water on any hopes we may have had that District Attorney Bragg would be able to successfully secure a felony conviction on the disgraced former president who seems to continually get away with everything short of murder.

However, our hope was reignited once more when Haberman joined her fellow Times reporters, Ben Protess, William Rashbaum, and Jonah Bromwich, on the byline of a new report the following night that clearly predicts a Trump indictment in the near future, based on the newest developments in the case.

Friday night’s NYT report reads:

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has already questioned at least seven other people before the grand jury hearing evidence about the hush money deal, according to several other people with knowledge of the inquiry, potentially making Mr. Cohen the last witness.

Once he has testified, nearly every crucial player in the hush money matter will have appeared before the grand jury — with the exception of the porn star herself, Stormy Daniels, who may not be called to testify.

It would be highly unusual for a prosecutor in a high-profile white-collar case to go through a weekslong presentation of evidence — and question nearly every relevant witness — without intending to seek an indictment.”

Haberman went on to personally echo a similar sentiment in a Twitter thread, discussing the “novel” case against Donald J. Trump, but made sure to pay specific homage to the historical and unprecedented nature of the apparent looming indictment over the former president’s head:

Both Trump and his legal team have responded to the bombshell development exactly as you’d expect them to.

The hush money investigation comes amid a mountain of additional lawsuits, investigations, and overall legal peril for the ex-president, including the Fulton County DA’s election investigation as well as the DOJ’s ongoing investigations into January 6th, Trump’s attempts to overthrow the 2020 election, and the infamous stolen document scandal, among others.

As it stands, Bragg has not yet formally committed to any indictments against Donald Trump.
