We’ve now learned who the previously unknown witness will likely be in today’s surprise January 6th House Select Committee hearing — after the Panel announced yesterday that they would be holding a somewhat spontaneous hearing this afternoon to present new evidence and hear testimony from a new witness, despite their previous announcement that they were pausing the public hearings until early to mid-July due to an overwhelming influx of evidence they needed to comb through.

While we now know that we will more than likely hear brutal, bombshell testimony this afternoon from Cassidy Hutchinson, former White House aide to Trump’s old Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, new reports are now indicating what the likely focus of today’s pop-up hearing will entail… And it’s brutally bad news for none other than Donald Trump’s own children.

The Guardian now reports that the topic of the surprise hearing this afternoon will more than likely center around phone calls and conversations documented by filmmaker Alex Holder, the individual who was filming and producing a documentary on Donald Trump, his family, and his inner circle around the time of the 2020 election scheme and has recently handed over a treasure trove of never-before-seen footage to the January 6th House Select Committee, along with his personal testimony.

According to the report, Holder truly caught the Hosue Panel’s attention when he revealed during his testimony that he had personally attended an invitation-only event at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. on the night of the first 2020 election presidential debate. While at the event, Holder claimed to have captured calls in which Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump discussed election strategies, as well as various other conversations before the Trump sons told the filmmaker to leave.

The Guardian reports that the January 6th Committee is looking to determine whether Donald Trump’s children planned ahead of time to stop the certification of the election and force a continent election if it began to look like their father was about to lose. A lot of this has to do specifically with how the notion may have passed between Donald Trump Jr. and staunch ally and former administration official Steve Bannon.

The Guardian reports:

On the night of the first presidential debate, Trump’s top former strategist Steve Bannon said in an interview with HBO’s The Circus that the outcome of the 2020 election would be decided at the state level and eventually at the congressional certification on January 6.

‘They’re going to try and overturn this election with uncertified votes,’ Bannon said. Asked how he expects the election to end, Bannon said: ‘Right before noon on the 20th, in a vote in the House, Trump will win the presidency.’

The select committee believes that ideas such as Bannon’s were communicated to advisors to Donald Jr and his fiancee, Kimberly Guilfoyle, even before the 2020 election had taken place, the sources said – leading House investigators to want to review the Trump hotel footage.”

It’s all over but the crying now, guys.
