I'll believe this when I see it.

As more and more developments indicate that an indictment against scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump is imminent, Donald Trump’s attorney, who’s gaining his own infamy in recent weeks, has spoken with the New York Daily News and claimed that, if that indictment does in fact come out of the Manhattan grand jury investigation into Trump’s alleged illegal hush money crimes, the former president will surrender himself quietly to authorities.

Trump attorney Joe Tacopina told the newspaper, “There won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office.”

Multiple recent developments in the Manhattan District Attorney’s case have indicated that an official criminal indictment against disgraced ex-President Donald Trump is now a matter of when, not if. Multiple high-level individuals have reportedly appeared before the grand jury and met with the Manhattan DA’s office in recent weeks — including the likes of adult film star and alleged former Trump affair partner herself, Stormy Daniels, Donald Trump’s former personal attorney and self-described “fixer” turned staunch critic, Michael Cohen, and some of Trump’s own former White House aides, such as Kellyanne Conway and Hope Hicks.

Things are beginning to heat up even further still, as reports broke today, confirming that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has requested a meeting with the NYPD, as sources confirm that New York authorities are already beginning to meet up and prepare the city’s security measures as officials brace for an impending indictment against Donald Trump as early as next week.

According to Business Insider’s Laura Italiano, it is very likely that, if actually indicted in the Manhattan hush money case, former President Donald Trump would have to surrender himself to the New York Police Department.

Reports indicate that courthouse staff are also beginning to prepare for the impending indictment against the former president.

Dennis Quirk, president of the New York State Court Officers Association, told New York Daily News, “The court officers will work hand in hand with NYPD and the Secret Service in making this as smooth and safe a process for all parties involved.”

Tacopina told the publication, “Most people would collapse under the weight of this,” referring to the allegations and subsequent investigation against Donald Trump for allegedly ordering a $130,000 hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, through his then-attorney Michael Cohen, in the weeks before the 2016 presidential election, in an attempt to buy the adult film star’s silence regarding their alleged sexual affair.

“He seems to turn everything into a positive and everything into a boost for his campaign, so I’m sure this will just join that long list of things that people think no one could overcome, but he will,” Tacopina said of the apparently imminent indictment.
