The irony is clearly lost on Donald Trump, but not on the rest of us…
Recently, scandal-plagued and felony-convicted former President and official Republican 2024 presidential nominee Donald J. Trump held a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan — his first since being the target of a bona fide assassination attempt last weekend, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired an AR-15 from a nearby rooftop, nicking the top of the ex-president’s right ear, murdering 50-year-old former fire chief Corey Compertore, and severely injuring two other attendees.
Trump has been leaning hard into his “mass deportation” platform, should he successfully return to the White House next year.
As part of that platform, the felony-convicted, multi-indicted, and thoroughly disgraced ex-president made this declaration from the stage:
You’re not going to teach a criminal not to be a criminal, not going to happen. You don’t have the time and you don’t have the energy because you have to do other things. That is why, as soon as I take the oath of office, we will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.”
“You’re not going to teach a criminal not to be a criminal! Not gonna happen.”

In case you missed that, the man who has been formally convicted of a staggering 34 federal felonies and continues to face countless more charges across multiple additional cases stood on stage and attempted to unironically declare that you cannot “teach a criminal to not be a criminal.”
Americans were quick to point out that he is, ironically enough, living, breathing, walking, talking proof of just that:

Someone with 34 felony charges would know. https://t.co/yrWTXCnxMv

At his Grand Rapids, Michigan rally Donald said “you’re not gonna teach a criminal to not be a criminal.”
Yes, we know Donald will never change.
He will always be a criminal and a felon.

For once, Donnie, we agree with you.
