Our President is a toddler. Donald Trump has whined non-stop for the last four years, he has gladly admitted to as much, but with his election just over a week away it has hit a fever pitch. Trump recently conducted an interview with Lesley Stahl for 60 Minutes of his own volition and ultimately couldn’t handle it and had to walk away from it prematurely.
I’d say it is embarrassing for the President but it is very much like him, and I think he takes pride in it. He shambles away from press conferences just like he shambled away from his former wives, just like he turned his back on the entire nation and walked away from a cohesive COVID-19 response. Compared to those instances, this was probably easy for him, but he is still sounding more deranged as we step closer to the election.
The interview started with Stahl asking him if he is ready for some tough questions, which is to be expected, we are a nation under a global pandemic that has ravaged families and taken the lives of 222,000 Americans. He immediately says he isn’t okay with tough questions and only gets part away through the interview before he starts to complain again. He cried that subjects were “inappropriately brought up” — probably wondering when he was going to get asked about Hunter Biden and upon realizing he wasn’t going to get the chance, he started planning his exit. His voice got that same tone it does whenever he feels insecure about a woman having the edge on him and he repeated: “That’s no way to talk”. He abruptly said that they had enough of an interview before getting up, declaring, “That’s enough. Let’s go,” giving us that same familiar sight of a pouty Trump turning his back on us.
