Petty Ron DeSantis Publicly Refuses To Send FL National Guard To DC For Upcoming SOTU, Directly Rejecting Biden Administration’s Request For The Assistance Of State Guards, And We Couldn’t Be More Disgusted

Petty games win petty prizes, Ron.

In case you needed a less-than-gentle reminder on this Monday afternoon — Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis is a big steaming pile of walking, talking human garbage.

The ultra Right-wing Republican governor very publicly announced today that he will not, in fact, be complying with the Biden administration’s request for state State National Guards to deploy to Washington D.C. for the upcoming State of the Union address. Instead, DeSantis made a point to tell the whole world that he has “rejected” the president’s request and will not be sending the Florida National Guard.

DeSantis, seemingly taking a page straight out of the old Donald Trump playbook (before the now-ex-president was ultimately booted from the social media platform for the foreseeable future,) made the nasty announcement on Twitter, of all places.

“Last week, the Biden Administration requested the assistance of State National Guards to deploy to Washington D.C.,” the Florida governor, who can’t seemingly decide if he loves Donald Trump or wants to run against him posted on his social media account today. “I have rejected this request — there will be no @FLGuard sent to D.C. for Biden’s State of the Union.”

He certainly seemed extra proud and arrogant of his pathetic, childish decision of his. But as you’d expect, pretty much no one was impressed:

DeSantis, of course, didn’t provide any real reason behind his decision, but we can say with pretty much full confidence that it has everything to do with pettiness and absolutely nothing to do with any form of legitimacy.

See ya next hurricane season, Ron. Or… Maybe not.
