We knew it was only a matter of time before Trump came out with some nonsense like this…

American history has been made in recent weeks, by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, his prosecutors and investigators, and the Manhattan grand jury, after their long-running, infamous hush money investigation into scandal-ridden former President Donald Trump finally resulted in a formal indictment against the 45th President of the United States — the very first time in US history that a sitting or former president has been criminally indicted.

Following that monumental, unprecedented, and long-awaited vote from the Manhattan grand jury, Americans watched on bated breath as the legal proceedings against Donald J. Trump began to unfold. This included millions of Americans bearing witness to the disgraced, corrupt former president making his way inside a Manhattan courthouse, where he was processed, booked, technically arrested, and arraigned on a staggering 34 felony charges, all related to multiple hush money schemes connected to his 2016 presidential campaign.

While we didn’t get to see inside the Manhattan courtroom during the arraignment — as Trump’s legal team won their bid to ban cameras inside the courtroom — we did get a media cycle full of reporting from journalists who sat in on the historical proceedings, a few photos and courtroom sketches, and Trump himself, frankly, has yet to shut up about it.

Immediately following his arraignment, Trump jet set his way back to his Mar-a-Lago compound, where he held a big, rowdy speech that same night, full of all of the grievances and nasty attacks you’d expect on the heels of something this big. But, apparently, that big speech wasn’t enough to soothe him, as he’s still going just as strong as ever.

Last week, amid the bombshell legal proceedings, Donald Trump released a statement calling the cops and court employees he encountered in the Manhattan courthouse “unbelievably nice.”

This week, Trump sat for an exclusive interview with Fox talking head Tucker Carlson, which aired in full last night, in which the topic of the court employees and their reactions to his scandal was discussed.

According to Donald, those court employees physically cried and apologized for what he was going through, as they booked him in as the criminal he is.

Carlson questioned the former president on his overall experience inside the Manhattan courthouse during his arraignment process, and Trump was quick to call the employees he dealt with “incredible.”

“When I went to the courthouse, which is also a prison in a sense, they signed me in and I’ll tell you people were crying – people that work there, professionally work there, that have no problems putting in murderers and they see everybody,” Trump told the Fox host. “It’s tough, tough place, and they were crying. They were actually crying. They said ‘I’m sorry.'”

“So in one sense it was beautiful,” the disgraced former president added. “Because they get it.”

Donald threw in a joke about how they never taught arraignments at Wharton, the institution where he attended business school, and made sure to throw in that despite all of the wet eyes in the Manhattan courthouse on his behalf, it was a “sad” day.

Trump pleaded not guilty to the 34 felony criminal charges lodged against him in the infamous hush money case.
