If there’s anything Donald Trump is “good” at, it’s telling on himself. Despite all the corruption and downright blatant crimes he has a tendency to commit, the man’s overblown ego will always kick his own ass in the end when he fails to keep his own depravity a secret.
The scandal-plagued former guy made a perfect example out of himself this week when he openly admitted that “of course” various people who came and went from his Mar-a-Lago golf resort turned post-White House home got an eye full of the stolen classified government documents he was keeping stashed there — despite his multiple previous assertions that he never showed those materials to anyone while they were in his possession.
The improper handling of those now-infamous classified government documents has been at the center of the federal investigation spearheaded by DOJ-appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith. As such, there’s a very good possibility that many of his Mar-a-Lago employees could soon be subpoenaed to testify to whether or not they saw those documents and materials, as well as the ways and locations in which they were stored at the ex-president’s compound that could have allowed guests of the resort to easily access classified government materials.
Trump has long attempted to argue that the classified documents were always kept in locked storage at his golf resort turned personal residence and remained secure against any prying eyes.

However, now that his employees may soon be telling a much different story under oath, it seems that the big guy is attempting to change his own story ahead of time — now not only admitting that the materials were “of course” seen by others at Mar-a-Lago, but that his actions were completely justifiable and well within his rights.
In a longwinded Truth Social post, Donald Trump openly confessed to the world:
Fake News CNN just did a story, leaked by Deranged Prosecutor Jack Smith and his massive team of Radical Left Lunatics, that various people saw papers and boxes at Mar-a-Lago. Of course they did! They may have been the boxes etc. that were openly and plainly brought from the White House, as is my right under the Presidential Records Act.”
The Presidential Records Act does not, in fact, mean what Donald Trump apparently thinks it means. In fact, it means quite the opposite, as the regulation dictates that all documents should promptly be transferred to the National Archives at the end of a presidential term, NOT stashed in a tacky golf resort as Donald Trump did.
CNN reports, “In all, prosecutors could use these witnesses to explain to a jury the free-wheeling environment presided over by Trump after he left the White House. The potential witnesses have already spoken — some multiple times — to federal investigators in detail about the level of security at the Mar-a-Lago resort, including how boxes of documents were kept there and whether they were visible or could have been accessed by visitors to the property.”
It seems he just can’t help digging his own hole a little deeper every time he gets the chance.
