The January 6th House Select Committee’s surprise hearing today was absolutely, brutally damning for Donald Trump. There is no doubt about that.
After much speculation on who the surprise, unknown witness was, and what the topic of today’s hearing would be, after the Committee announced an impromptu hearing so suddenly after previously announcing their weeks-long break to review an influx of new evidence, we finally saw bombshell testimony from none other than former White House aide to Trump’s old Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Cassidy Hutchinson.
Throughout this afternoon’s hearing, we heard damning recollections of Donald Trump’s absolutely horrifying behavior on January 6th, 2021 — ranging from the fact that he and his Chief of Staff Mark Meadows knew full and well that many of his supporters at his infamous Stop The Steal rally were armed to the gills with deadly weapons and body armor, to the unhinged and downright violent reaction Trump had upon learning that he would not be allowed to go to the Capitol with his raging, unhinged mob, where they would go on to violently siege the government building with Congress inside.
And that’s honestly just the highlights.

In fact, Committee Vice-Chair Liz Cheney went so far as to close today’s surprise hearing with brutal evidence that Donald Trump’s own allies have literally been tampering with witnesses, as the unhinged, one-term, twice-impeached former president’s fear and desperation grow out of control.
Today’s hearing was so undeniably damning for the ex-president that even Fox News was left at a loss for words.
Quite literally… And quite awkwardly.
During a network segment following the brutal public hearing this afternoon, Fox anchor Bret Baier tried to close out a statement with two of his fellow networks hosts, saying, “The testimony, in and of itself, is really, really powerful.”
Baier’s fellow Fox talking heads just… sat there…
Frankly, even Fox doesn’t have a defense for this garbage anymore.
