Recently, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and rock star Kid Rock were spotted hopping into a taxi together at 2:30 a.m. in Washington, DC. Both big Trump supporters, they had been partying earlier, leaving people curious—were they off on a secret mission, a wild adventure, or hunting for some late-night snacks?

According to a source quoted by TMZ, Boebert was wholly focused on Kid Rock.

“Lauren was totally transfixed by the rock star, yapping away, doing a little dance, and clapping like she was front row at his concert—basically giving Kid Rock all the hype he needed,” the source said.

By the night’s end, they decided to leave together, getting into a taxi as the city quieted. What happened next? Well, that’s the big question.

There could be many reasons for their late-night exit. Maybe Kid Rock was being a gentleman, ensuring Boebert returned to her hotel safely. Or perhaps they were deep in conversation about their shared passions—guns, politics, and the restaurant business. After all, Boebert once owned Shooters Grill, where waitresses carried guns, while Kid Rock runs a honky-tonk steakhouse in Nashville. But do we really know?

Of course, some people think there was more to it.  After all, both Boebert and Kid Rock have made headlines about their personal lives.

Lauren Boebert has never been far from controversy. In 2023, she went through a messy divorce from her husband, Jayson Boebert. Later that year, she was kicked out of a performance of the musical Beetlejuice in Denver for vaping, taking pictures, and getting a little too cozy with her date. Her ex-husband, Jayson, also made news when he was arrested on gun charges after an argument with their son turned physical. Reports say he was intoxicated and stuck his thumb in his son’s mouth in a way that made the teenager afraid his father would pull out a tooth.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, is no stranger to controversy. His love life has been in the spotlight, with past relationships including actress Pamela Anderson. In 2023, he made headlines for leading a boycott against Bud Light after the beer brand partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. To protest, Kid Rock posted a video of himself shooting at Bud Light cans with a rifle.

In a 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, Kid Rock reportedly brandished a gun and made some controversial comments. He also turned a BBC interview into a flirting session when he told a female reporter that her voice sounded “sexy” and asked her out.

So, was Boebert’s late-night taxi ride with Kid Rock just friendly fun, or something more? Neither of them has confirmed or denied anything. When asked for a comment, Boebert’s spokesperson said, “I think we’ll pass.” Kid Rock’s team didn’t respond at all.
