Trump Announces Plan To Hold A News Conference On The Anniversary Of Violent Capitol Riot, And We Couldn’t Be More Sickened

This is just sick.

If you thought maybe Donald Trump was sorry for the things he did that led to the infamous, violent, and deadly Capitol riot on January 6th — think again.

As I’m sure you’ve heard, the evidence is rapidly piling against the ex-President in the January 6th House Select Committee’s deep-dive investigation into the events of that fateful day — including the scope of Donald Trump’s involvement in what took place — recently hitting a fever pitch with the release of a treasure trove of text messages that were sent to then Chief of Staff Mark Meadows as the insurrection was underway from numerous Trump allies, begging the then-president’s Chief of Staff to make Trump make it stop.

Insiders have indicated that the recent developments have left the disgraced ex-president with increasing anxiety and agitation — but apparently not enough to get him to shut up and lay low.

This morning, we reported on a statement released by the one-term, twice-impeached former guy, in which he railed against the House Select Committee and questioned why they weren’t “investigating the cause” of the January 6th Capitol siege. This particular part of Trump’s early morning statement was enough to send Americans into a frenzy, offering him answers to his question that I’m sure he was none too happy with.

However, buried in that statement was something even worse.

Apparently, Trump plans to mark the anniversary of the infamous attack enacted by his own supporters with a press conference on January 6th from his Mar-a-Lago resort.

” I will be having a news conference on January 6th at Mar-a-Lago to discuss all of these points, and more,” Trump’s statement reads. “Until then, remember, the insurrection took place on November 3rd, it was the completely unarmed protest of the rigged election that took place on January 6th.”

Trump claims that it was a “completely unarmed protest,” yet dozens of law enforcement agents were left injured and 5 people lost their lives.

It’s high time this country admits — that insurrection was Donald Trump’s fault.
